I'm a computer science graduate with 8+ years experience in technical writing. I've worked in companies both large and small, in industries from military equipment to banking systems, and I think I’m one of the few Technical Writers that holds a patent in documentation (https://patents.google.com/patent/US10529153B2/en).
For the last 4 years my main focus has been on API documentation. This story started in ABN AMRO, a Dutch Bank, where my role was to set up DocOps for all internal and external APIs. This work involved providing technical writing training, coaching and support, guiding developer portal development, and working with teams to establish and define API development processes. For the past 2 years I have continued this work in a payments orchestration company called Rebilly.
